Reliance Jio is going to extend the free preview offer beyond December 31:
Before my article on jio was the Tariff plans that is jio going to offer after 31st December. And before the tariff plans post I wrote an article on how to increase your Jio 4G speed. Here in this article I will tell you Reliance Jio is going to extend the free preview offer beyond December 31. And we will tell you the reason behind it.
Reliance jio is going to extend its free preview offer and going to extend the timeline for all those unlimited 4G data, unlimited call and unlimited SMS. And the reason behind it is other telecom operator like Airtel and idea.
TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has a meeting with the executives of the telecom companies from all over the country. And the results were unfavourable. So COAI (Cellular Operators Association of India) requested PMO to keep the competitions fair.
All other telecom operators claimed that the free voice calls and free SMS that have been offered by Reliance Jio were not been handled with volume of request they get. And with the huge volume of request they need huge amount of equipment’s contributing considerable financial and network resources which didn’t make any monetary sense for them.
“They (operators) wish to politely clarify that they are in no position, by way of network resources, or financial resources, to terminate volumes of traffic which are markedly asymmetric. Neither are they obliged to entertain interconnect requests which are derived from abnormal induced traffic patterns that game the IUC regime and are anti-competitive”.
They added, that due to the free call offer total outgoing voice calls minutes from RJio would be equivalent to the combined volume for all other Indian operators put together. Speaking about the huge traffic volume from RJio they further said that the weighted average realization for other operators would drop from the current 30 – 40 paise to 22 -25 paise per minute which would financially make it difficult for them to survive.
“(RJio seeks to) offload tsunamis of asymmetric voice traffic at IUC terms which will choke and financially destroy competition. IUC regimes anywhere in the world are meant to facilitate fair competition, and are not designed for such abuses”.
Previously Mukesh Ambani said in an interview that Jio user have faced 5Crore call drops in a week. Well this a huge amount. If the current situation continues with Reliance Jio then they may have to push the date beyond the December 31 2016. But yes one more thing guys, if they push the date then the call drops would still be there. So reliance Jio may need to force the date to 2017. This may be good news for the new customers. But the bad news is if they extend the date then there will still be call drops.
