Everybody might have come to site to keep their private files safer on their android. Well some of you might know what is encryption? While some people might know that it is a security term. Well first let me explain what is encryption? and what is decryption?
Encryption is the most effective way to achieve data security. To read an encrypted file, you must have access to a secret key or password that enables you to Decrypt it. Unencrypted data is called plain text. Encrypted data is referred to as cipher text.
And decryption is opposite of encryption i.e to Decrypt we need to unlock the encrypted with a key.
Now let me tell the process. And I would guarantee that these steps are so easy that even a non techie guy can complete as easy as possible.
- Android phone
- Andrognito app
- Some patience
Download this app from Playstore. Andrognito 2.
Launch the app. Now It will ask for your name and 4Digit passcode. Passcode will be used further to unlock your encrypted files. Click on the arrow to proceed.
Now it will ask to reconfirm the passcode. Type the passcode which you gave in step 1.
Now it will ask for a security question to set up. This is in case if you forgot your passcode then you can answer this security question and unlock your vault. Click on the arrow to proceed.
Next step is to create your vault. Just give a name and Click on the arrow to proceed.
Noe you will come to the home screen of the app. Browse your files through the given options.
Select the file which you want to encrypt and hit the lock at the top right of the screen. That’s it will encrypt your files.
Now you know how to encrypt a file on android. But what about decrypt. In case you need to decrypt that file. Steps are so simple and you just unlock those files. Let me tell you clearly.
open the app and it will ask for passcode. Type the passcode and it will give access to your vault.
Here you just need to long press on your encrypted file and hit the unlock button at the top right of the screen.
And that’s it. You have decrypted your files. It’s so simple. Like I said even a non techie guy can do it.
